Saint Martin of tours did the noble thing by cutting his cloak in half in order to give the beggar cover and protection. Later that night, San Martin Caballero had a dream where the beggar appeared to him as Jesus Christ. After this experience, he quit the army and dedicated the rest of his life to preach Christianity and perform good deeds in his community. Over time he became known as the patron Saint of good luck, work and money. He is a very popular Saint in Mexico and Latin America. His feast day is celebrated on November 11th.
